Cycle 2.31.1

Released 2026-10-30.

New features

Terminal captures in the Report Dashboard

A step that captured terminal text shows that capture in the step view under Terminal Capture with a dark blue background, light monospaced text, and a visible cursor. The capture is text, so you can select it and copy it.

Editor tab size in the Desktop IDE

Editor tab size (spaces) sets how many spaces wide the Cycle Editor draws each tab character. The default is 2, and you can set any whole number from 1 to 8. Open Application Preferences from Edit > Preferences, then set the value under Appearance.

Bug fixes

  • Bug #12525 — The Report Dashboard gave no feedback during a live run.
    • The duration in the scenario header counts up while a run is going and shows the final time when the run ends.
    • Expanding a step, or loading more steps, shows placeholder rows until the children arrive, and a failed load offers Retry.
    • Step search and Jump to Failure show progress and stay disabled until they finish.
    • Launch Report Dashboard waits until the dashboard can accept a connection, then opens it within a few seconds of the run starting, and it remembers that the dashboard is ready across Inspector tabs.
    • The scenario tree stays current with the running step, and when the run ends, every step shows its final status.
    • With Tailing on, the dashboard follows that step through If, Elsif, Else, and While blocks, keeps scrolling as new rows arrive, and opens the next scenario when the open one finishes.
    • Condition steps show a branch icon marked T or F.
    • The Tailing button shows a crossed-out icon while tailing is off.
